Boys 9-10 Edge Taconic Hills in Extra Innings 7-6
Gabe Cavallaro Legs Out an Infield Single in Bottom 8 for Game Winner
Saugerties kept Taconic Hills off the board in the top of the 8th by snaring two
rockets - one to pitcher Max Delia and the other to first baseman Nick Dennis. In the home half of the 8th, Saugerties got two walks by Matt Nilsen and Dennis to start the inning. Two outs later, Gabe Cavallaro, hustling all the way, beat out a ground ball to first that pulled TH first
baseman Eric Clough off the bag while Nilsen crossed the plate to end it.
Cavallaro and Seth Vanderbeck led Saugerties with two base hits each Nilsen and Cavallaro scored twice. Next game is Sunday 7/19
